So I hit the library this evening and loaded up on books for my mental health.
Here's what I came home with for study:
1) Beyond the Bleep - by Alexandra Bruce (the definitive unauthorized guide to What the Bleep Do We Know?!) (didn't have the dvd Wendy-girl, I sure looked & other books were not available, so I went ahead and grabbed this one anyway)
2) one heart -universal wisdom by the world's scriptures (essays by Andrew Harvey, preface by Sylvia Boorstein, edited by Bonnie Louise Kuchler)
3) How I Stayed Alive When My Brain Was Trying To Kill Me -Susan Rose Blauner
4) Man's Search For Meaning -Viktor E. Frankl
5) Man's Search For Ultimate Meaning -Viktor E. Frankl
6) Destructive EMOTIONS -How Can We Overcome Them? -Dalai Lama/Daniel Goleman
7) Train Your Mind Change Your Brain -How A New Science Reveals Our Extraordinary Potential To Transform Ourselves -Sharon Begley (forward by Dalai Lama/ preface by Daniel Goleman)
8) Healing Emotions -Conversations with the Dalai Lama on Mindfulness, Emotions, and Health
9) Going To Pieces Without Falling Apart -A Buddhist Perspective on Wholeness -Mark Epstein, M.D.
10) Meditation Now or Never -Steve Hagen
and one fun one...
11) STORM FRONT by Jim Butcher (tee hee) (a SciFi series I've been anxious to start, yay I have the first one in the series now!)
I also chatted for over an hour on the phone with a licensed counselor and will be getting a call tomorrow to set up the next 3 telefonic sessions since my health insurance doesn't include mental health whereas Arizona doesn't have it mandated through insurance to have access. So, I've also been given a couple numbers to call, one of them being United Way and see if I can have more counseling sessions that way. We'll see. Anyway, I'm trying folks. I'm seriously trying to work through my personal issues and maintain some sort of sanity. God help me -lol.
Off to go eat a late night dinner and start some of these books. Whew what a day!

Yikes! That's a lot of reading! And if I'm saying that, it's serious.
Looks like a lot of GREAT books!
Good point, though sometimes it's hard to arrive to definite conclusions
