I've been thinking that I need to get back into practicing my writing activities on a regular/daily basis. I think I may create a separate blog for my Writing Activities, however in the meantime, I'll put them here until I do.
Something is stirring within me and I feel inspired to pick up that pen and paper again, or in this case, sit at the monitor and type fluidly.
All evening at work tonight, I had thought after thought racing rampant in my mind. I kept thinking, "OK as soon as I get back to my desk, I'll grab the pen and paper pad and jot these thoughts down"... but to my dismay, I had to work, darn it! (Enter, sarcasm) Jeesh, do they really expect us to work? LOL. So here it is almost 2:30am and I'm awake at the PC. I've been reading up on my friends' blogs and I'll tell ya, that is inspiring too. I love reading Adrianne's blogs! That Lady ROCKS! Adrianne, if you read this, YOU ROCK LADY! I LUUUUUUV your blogs and enjoy that you speak up and speak your mind! LMP's blog is sweet too! Another beautiful lady that speaks her mind! You ladies are awesome! I am so happy to live in a country that allows us to speak our minds. Granted sometimes at a price to pay... although if/when we learn the how, when, what, where and why's of speaking with class, all the difference it makes at times. Unfortunately at this time in the world, we truly need to be careful how we speak our minds. Everything being 'politically correct' makes my stomach twirl at times. I'm grateful to be a part of the generation I am from/and a part of... as I've seen the change come about as far as when things went from unpolitically correct to politically correct. And if you are from my generation, you know exactly what I mean. :)
I do believe in thinking before speaking... as I've caught myself many times with my foot or both feet in my mouth and living to regret some words that I let escape. I've definitely learned the hard way about thinking first. I'm far from perfect and I still have my moments of unglory - LOL - however, I'm learning how to correct those moments and wipe the beads of sweat off the forehead and sighing. Jeeesh, sure sux that we have to carefully monitor and censor our words... and yet I do believe it can be done - to speak up and still have class! And there will always be those times when one wants to speak up and F*#@ the class part! :)
Life is super short and we do need to think before we speak unfortunately as it can bring unfortunate events and experiences we could have otherwise prevented. So I understand the need to, how shall I say... um, water down the flava a bit? Tee hee. And it will still taste good too! Personally I like water with a little flava... the other way around... and I try to metaphorically live my life that way too. Hope that makes sense :)
Well, time for the Writing Activity... so bear with me on this one k. I'll include the Writing Activity #1 for the corresponding blog... since this one became a bit more lengthy than I intended...
Have a good night ya'll.
