It's a New Day ~

Hello, and welcome to my blogs. I'm still exploring this world of blogging. I'm not sure how I like it yet. I think it may be a good way for me to release emotions and thoughts. I must admit, any of you who do read these blogs, please pardon my recent emotions. I'm going through a lot right now and this will be used as a release for me. So please bear with me and I'll make it through this stage.

I watched CNN Heroes show last night and it was a really good tribute to some wonderful people who deserve recognition for the influence they have had on our lives and others. Mary J. Blige sang this song (see below) and it touched my heart and soul so much. I felt her words and the message of the song. I really enjoy feeling how much soul Ms. Mary has while she performs. She is all soul and I love this woman! I love that music may also be interpreted in many ways for different people at different times. This song reached me in a way I needed at the very moment I heard it. Maybe it will touch you as well.

I'm in a place in my life right now, that I am seeking positive influences and uplifting material. I need spirituality and anything that lifts my soul.

I heard a quote on the same show last night by Teddy Roosevelt, "It is bad to have failed, but it is worse to have never tried." These words remind me of taking risks and taking that chance to succeed. I have many goals and dreams. I am going to pursue them.

I also plan to run in the PF Chang's Half Marathon this Jan 13. I'm training for it now. I'll tell ya - after having my heart completely broken, this gives me somewhere to put my focus and energy. It is saving me right now. I ran just over 10 miles yesterday evening and I'm sure feeling it today. Lol. Feels good though.

If any of you would like to share any positive quotes or thoughts with me, please send them my way. I could really use them right now. I'll also include some of my own as I come across them and share them on here.

Please enjoy Mary J. Blige's song about Peace .... May you all have peace in your lives and much love and happiness.

My best & Hugz,
Christy

I have a quote for you:

"Sibling relationships – and 80 percent of Americans have at least one – outlast marriages, survive the death of parents, resurface after quarrels that would sink any friendship. They flourish in a thousand incarnations of closeness and distance, warmth, loyalty and distrust."
