Thursday Thrills...

So, yesterday was a good day. I discovered only the day previously that I had 9.81 vacation hours to use up before Monday the 30th of this month or lose them. Nice huh? Esp since I had just used up a number of them earlier because I had found out a few weeks ago (yep I forgot I had some left) because I was saving them for my trip to CA end of Aug for the half marathon at Disneyland. Grrrr. Anyway, I was able to use them yesterday...and after putting in so much extra time to make up for hours missed the week prior -it was nice to leave early. I was able to leave at 2:30pm yesterday and completed enough extra time to fill my pay period at 80 hrs. Wahoo!

So I jetted over to T's to make the 3:10pm showing of GET SMART movie. We had to go right away because we were using my Harkins passes and anything new had to be seen before 6pm and T had an HOA meeting to attend at 6pm too. So I'm posting the trailer clip below. We both loved it! It was actually very funny. When we got to the theater, I asked the concession guy helping us if he had seen it and he replied that he's going on fourth time! Obviously a fan. Lol. That made me feel good. Plus he just kept going and going and going on about it. T had a huge ear-to-ear grin that looked in-erasable. Lol. He had been wanting to see this for a long while. He loved the tv series. I wasn't as excited to see it, but I remember the series and I did enjoy it too. I was pleasantly surprised how entertaining the film was and I had a good time.

Because I have four Harkins movie passes... I told T he could pick a movie and then I'd pick one. We may go see either THE HAPPENINGS (M. Night Shyamalan-spell?- movie) or WANTED w/Angelina Jolie. Was anxious to see the first one I listed... but then heard that WANTED starts today. Hmmmm...super tough call now. We will probably go see WANTED. Looks soooooooooooo good. Tee hee. Hope you enjoy the trailer below... gosh it was such a good movie. I could see myself watching this over and over again. Too cute. If you haven't seen it, you should. Good dry humor. I love dry humor.

Then, later last night, I went back over to T's after his HOA meeting which he wasn't done until around sometime after 10pm... he got into a long chat with one other guy. Anyway, I went back over to his place and we watched MUSIC and LYRICS movie with Drew Barrymore and Hugh Grant. I had seen it before but T hadn't. He gets netflix movies through the mail and it has been his goal lately to watch all of 2007 movies, with the exception of the ones we have already seen. So if he's seen one already -he checks with me to see if I want to see it and if not he refuses it. And if it's one I had seen but he hasn't, he checks with me also to see if I want to see again, cuz usually I do. Lol. What can I say? I'm a huge big-time movie buff! Duh, why else do you think I like the film industry so much?! Always have, always will. One day I'll make it to Hollywood and work as a make-up artist! Indeed, indeed I will. :)

Here's a trailer for MUSIC & LYRICS if you haven't seen it. Really cute show. I told T how much I liked that one and I wanted to be sure and watch with him. He liked it too. Said it was really good.
