I'm attaching a link here that I feel is worth your time to read and become more familiar.
This link informs us about "phishing" -this has happened to me. I am well aware of it, because I have done lots of reading about it after it happened to me. I also had to purchase a new computer because of this, losing a lot of valuable information and files etc. and many other issues that came because of it.
I'm a bit familiar with it and would like to share with you a little more about it so you are also aware. Please take the time to click on the attachment and read the blog posted by Tom on MySpace. He mentions "phishing" explaining what it is and what people are doing out there to cause all sorts of chaos about advertisements and where those advertisements take the viewer etc... and how to protect ourselves from it. It is something that happens without the sender's awareness and therefore appears to have been sent by the sender to the sender's friends etc, when in fact that is not the case.

I can't believe some people have nothing better to do than mess with other peoples' computers! Crazy, huh??
These peeps so need serious punishment for these crimes. To have to purchase a new computer because of them is so annoying. I was peeved when it happened to me. I was ready for a fight! If only I had known who the responsible party was/is... ugh.
What can we do though? All we can really do is protect ourselves the best way we can and according to how we are informed from others. (Sadly the info we get regarding a lot of this stuff is from those same people who are committing the crimes actually) jeesh. So frightening and unnerving. Can't trust anyone.
