Hello again, I just returned home from the movie theater... went to see 10,000 BC late night movie with Tony. I really liked it. Granted there are quite many people who may have been disappointed with the hype, however, if you allow yourself to be entertained and just sit back and enjoy the story...it was quite entertaining. Below I've posted the link for an interview with the director and also Nathanael Baring who plays Baku - and Baku was one of my favorite characters in this movie. He played such a small role, but enough to see this actor's abilities and I foresee that Mr Baring will be in other movies in our future. I thought he did a great job and I was fascinated with him in the show.
I was about to spit fire at the young men sitting behind us in the theater as they were terribly rude and immature. I had to bite my tongue through the movie, but I was a good girl and didn't cause a scene as badly as my temper flared within, I held it to myself. GRRRRR, I wouldn't have cared so much if it was a comedy... but this movie is not a comedy and these guys were awful. There were many times I couldn't even hear the lines said... and for that I was about to SHHHHUSSHHH the crap outta those boys. LOL. I'm not usually that way in movies, hell I talk quietly too, but I do refrain from being annoying in a movie to other viewers. Sheeesh and when watching a serious movie with cultural backgrounds, and people are being stupid, I want to scream at them to teach them a lesson in respect. Bugs me to no end. Oh well, I still enjoyed the movie despite these children. Ha!
10,000 BC interview here with Director Roland Emmerich & actor (Baku) Nathanael Baring.

Hey Christy
Thanks for all of your sweet comments & for your offer for a new Glass Bowl if you were here! YOU ARE SO SWEET!!! I mean that!!! You are such a great friend!
That is so awful about those immature guys behind you in the movie theater! They need a good spanking!! (HA HA)
Luv Ya!
Merrianne
oh yeah---that looks like it would be a really cool movie!!
You're welcome dawlin' -anytime!
Yah those guys were unbearable. So I also reminded myself that they haven't really learned some of the lessons we adults have... they're young and stupid still :) We were all young and stupid once -right? lol
The movie was good. I liked it because it shows the unity that can develop between different cultures and people. I'm all about love and peace. I was so touched and I totally cried. The credits were showing and Tony got up out of his seat, and there I was tears streamed all down my cheeks! Lol. Took a few good wipes to be dry faced. LOL. I love movies that make me feel something or many things. This was one of those movies.
I would like to make the sort of difference in life that the lead character D'Leh made with the many people he came in contact with for the need to get their people back as well as the other people of other cultures too that were also held captive.
To be able to communicate with so many different cultures and find a common need/love in life. Granted there may have been a couple cheesey scenes, but those scenes I adored. It shows the body language of the intensity of the friendships and bonds made that were from then on forever bonded.
I love people of all backgrounds. I love unity. This was a beautiful story. I hope you do see it and let me know what you think ok?
Anyone who reads my blog, please let me know if you see the movie, I'd love to learn any other comments/feelings of this movie and how it may affect others as it did me.
My luv,
Christy :)
Me & Spencer & Jacob watched the littel video clip from that movie, & it looks soooo good! We are SO disappointed that it is PG-13! As you know...we do not watch anything over rated PG. Maybe we can get a hold of an edited version!! :)
WOW--I just noticed your new Header Picture!! AWESOME!!!
And such a great message on there, as well.
LuvYa!

Hi beauty-ful ~
I didn't know the rating of the movie since I don't look at ratings, I seek beauty in all things anyway and I'm not going to let someone else rate something for me. That's just how I feel about it. No disrespect to you or your choices (or anyone's choices)... just stating why I watch movies without looking at a rating. But that's just me. :)
Perhaps you could find an edited version, I don't know. Personally, I don't know why it was PG-13, my only guess would be because of the content relating to war/fighting. I'll never understand the rating system, nor do I care...but that's me. From what I understand of the rating system is messed up, so I don't choose to watch a movie by the ratings, but please know I respect you and others for whatever personal choices you (they) have.
Yah, I love that art piece above too. Thomas Barbey is my fave artist, so far. I still seek other artists' work and I do love my cousin, Wendy's work too. If you have any interest to see it, check out her page (http://inspirationofthemoment.blogspot.com/) I also have her link in the right column under Family/Friends blogs. She's awesum!
I have the above artwork piece and paid quite a penny for it too. And I have just a small 5x7 of it framed in a 12x14 matte. I haven't framed it again yet. Trying to keep it in good piece to actually hang one day. I bought it when I first saw it and it was at an art festival in Tempe on Mill Ave and I had just decided to go to school for MakeUp. This was about two years ago. I've been planning this since then. (Life just got in the way for awhile) :)
This art piece is beautiful in so many ways for me. It is so motivating for me. I'm glad you like it too :)
Hugz-n-Luv
Christy :)
If you'd like to see other work by this artist (Thomas Barbey) check out his site www.thomasbarbey.com
I soooooooo love his work! :)

You will see the link on my regular blog or you can go to

Oh yeah...I understand about your feelings about the movie ratings :). I know you were not trying to disrespect me...you would never do that.....you're too much of a sweetheart!! And I do understand your point. :)
Love Ya,
Merrianne
p.s. about your comment on my blog (about the garden) you can always do an indoor garden in little pots. Lots of people do those & they turn out really well. I bet you would do a great job!
I totally want to see that movie, it looks so AWESOME!! Love your new blog header! That picture is really neat & love the quote with it. Great seeing you at lunch today! Wish we had more time together during the day!
Love ya oodles :)
M-Girl,
Took a quick peek at your new scrappin' blog... looks fabulous!
Thanx for sharing, I'll stop by on a regular basis! :)
Perhaps one day (re: indoor garden) too much going on currently since I'm in process of packing up all my stuff and loading up the new storage unit this weekend too. Took a break from boxing books to check out the blogs and to post one of my own too :)
If/when I do start a garden, I'll certainly let you know, and you can give me pointers/tips. :)
I'm hoping after I return from school, (I'll have to live in an apt shortly) and soon after get a home! (YEP with a backyard too!) So much to plan and look forward to :)
Hugz,
Christy
A-gal,
Yay, good to get a response from ya, life can be so busy sometimes huh? Yah, I loved the movie, be sure and have tissue on hand :)
Glad you like my new header, I love it too. I'm going to start posting different artwork by this artist, Thomas Barbey, I love his work. The quote came with the art piece. I love it too. It is so inspiring and motivating.
I enjoyed seeing you and Mom at lunch today too, of course Anson too :) I wish I wasn't always in such a rush and I'm sorry about that. I'm trying to get everything done in the next month or less, so I can be done, and not stressed later when I do move out...and head out for school. I'd like to spend some quality time with everyone before I leave.
I'm going to need to rent a U-haul or something soon too -to transport all my belongings to the storage unit. All in time... getting so much done. (sigh, whew)
You'll have to fill me in on what's going on in your life these days, besides having family at your home. I feel I steal the show at lunch to quickly share what I'm up to and I don't have time to learn what's going on with you and Mom. I'm sorry about that, I do care, just been on the go, literally for awhile trying to get everything done. :)
Glad to have those lunches anyway, I look forward to them each week, at least I get to see you and Mom, and Anson for a brief while weekly.
LuvYou,
Christy :)
